Prof. Dr. Nurşah Başol, Faculty Member of the Department of Emergency Medicine, Has Assumed Her Duties

Prof. Dr. Nurşah Başol Assumes Her New Position

Born in Yozgat, Prof. Dr. Nurşah Başol graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Eskişehir Osmangazi University in 2005 and completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, Ondokuz Mayıs University in Samsun, between 2006 and 2011.

She was appointed as a specialist at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, where she earned the title of Associate Professor in 2017 and served as Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine from 2017 to 2022.

During her tenure at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Nurşah Başol was actively involved in various administrative and academic roles, including Faculty and Executive Board membership, ethics committee membership, educational commission membership, sixth-year coordinator, and assistant editor of the university journal. She also chaired the Emergency Nursing Master's Program.

In 2022, she was awarded the title of Professor. She is proficient in English and is especially known for her work in Palliative Care, Toxicology, and Resuscitation.

Prof. Dr. Başol has published over 50 articles in national and international journals, authored more than 10 book chapters, and has numerous citations. She has also participated in many international and national congresses as a speaker, session chair, and presenter. Additionally, in 2013, she served as an observer physician at the State University of New York in the United States.
