Founded in 2008, Yalova University officially incorporated its Faculty of Medicine as of February 6, 2021. Our faculty admitted its first group of students in the 2021–2022 academic year and has continued to accept new students ever since. While education is currently being conducted at Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine under the terms of an established protocol, our faculty is rapidly advancing preparations to begin its own educational activities. In this context, a dedicated morphology building was constructed and inaugurated in 2023.
Our Faculty of Medicine building houses 3 lecture halls (amphitheaters), 27 classrooms, and 11 laboratory spaces. The academic staff in the fields of basic, internal, and surgical medical sciences continues to grow with the addition of new faculty members.
With our steadily strengthening academic staff, our primary goal as the Faculty of Medicine is to train physicians who are strong in scientific knowledge, well-equipped in bedside clinical practice, fully aware of professional ethics and regulations, closely follow modern medical technologies, and carry the white coat they wear with pride and honor throughout their careers.
In addition to our educational activities, we will continue to engage in scientific research projects, academic studies, and other scholarly endeavors that contribute to the medical literature.
While continuing to contribute to high-quality patient care in Yalova, we will also expand our collaborations aimed at improving public health literacy as part of preventive healthcare services.
