A Historic Milestone for Our Faculty of Medicine
An important milestone for our Faculty of Medicine has officially been confirmed with the publication of the 2026 Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) Preliminary Information Guide by the Council of Higher Education.
Starting from the 2026–2027 academic year, students admitted to the Yalova University Faculty of Medicine will begin their medical education at our own Faculty in Yalova.
This significant development marks a major step forward in the academic growth and institutional capacity of our Faculty. It reflects the strength of our infrastructure, the excellence of our academic staff, and our commitment to a student-centered approach to medical education.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahçekapılı, for his unwavering support throughout this process, as well as to all our stakeholders who contributed to this achievement and to our dedicated academic and administrative staff for their commitment and hard work.
As this decision represents a major milestone in the ongoing development of our Faculty of Medicine, we hope it will bring lasting benefits to our students, our University, and our city. We are proud to begin educating the physicians of the future on our own campus.
