Yalova University Faculty of Medicine Included in the “World Directory of Medical Schools”
As a result of its applications and efforts, the Faculty of Medicine at Yalova University has been officially included in the World Directory of Medical Schools.
With this recognition, graduates of our Faculty of Medicine now have the right to work as physicians and pursue specialization training not only in Turkey but also around the world — including in the United States.
The World Directory of Medical Schools was established in collaboration with the World Health Organization and the University of Copenhagen to promote the highest standards in medical education and ensure the training of highly qualified physicians. This directory provides the most current, accurate, and detailed information about medical schools across the globe.
For those who wish to specialize in the United States — whether they are international or American medical graduates who have completed their education outside of the U.S. or Canada — certification from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) is required. To obtain this certification, graduates must have studied at a medical school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.
