On Saturday, May 10, 2025, our faculty members Associate Professor Dr. Ramazan Asoğlu, Assistant Professor Dr. Cemalettin Yılmaz, and Assistant Professor Dr. İsmail Ünğan successfully conducted a comprehensive workshop on current cardiology practices at Yalova Training and Research Hospital. The workshop covered intravascular imaging (IVUS), rotational atherectomy for calcified vessels, and structural heart diseases. As part of this special program, advanced interventional procedures were performed on nine different patients. For the first time in Yalova, atrial septal defects (ASDs)—commonly known as holes in the heart—were closed in two patients with congenital heart disease using special devices without the need for surgery. We wish continued success to our dedicated faculty members.
