Yalova University Faculty of Medicine has added another innovative initiative to its educational and research infrastructure. The invention entitled “Smart Cadaver Tank and Table,” for which our Vice Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Güneş Bolatlı, and faculty member of the Department of Anatomy, Assist. Prof. Dr. Esin Erbek, are the inventors, has been granted a patent by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.
The invention was submitted to the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office on May 12, 2026, under application number 2026/007547. Following the examination and evaluation processes, a decision to grant the patent was issued on August 19, 2026, marking a significant achievement. The invention has been granted patent protection under Industrial Property Law No. 6769.
The system introduces an innovative approach to the preservation, preparation, and preparation of cadavers for educational purposes, which are among the essential requirements of medical education and anatomy laboratories. It stands out with its technological infrastructure, automation features, and solutions designed to enhance occupational health and safety.
