At the ceremony held at Yalova University Mehmet Okul Congress and Cultural Center, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahçekapılı, expressed his gratitude to all the heroes of the healthcare sector. During the event, which also hosted the "Health Academy Days II" symposium, Rector Bahçekapılı stated that they take great pride in Yalova University being home to a Faculty of Medicine and thanked those who organized the event.
Following the opening speech by Yalova University Vice Rector and Founding Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Vefik Arıca—who shared the history of Doctors' Day—certificates of appreciation were presented to healthcare professionals on behalf of the martyrs of medicine. Personalized certificates with QR codes were also distributed to 1,100 participants.
The symposium was moderated by Prof. Dr. Bülent Yiğit, Director of the Thermal Vocational School, and Dr. Metin Sabuncu, Head of the Medico-Social Center Health Services Department. Presentations were delivered by Research Assistant Dr. Sema Arslan Kabasakal and Assistant Professor Dr. Selman Kaya. The highly attended symposium concluded with a commemorative photo in honor of March 14 Doctors' Day.
